01Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the CamteX service ("Service"), operated by CamteX ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

02Description of Service

CamteX is an AI-powered web application that converts hand-drawn mathematical expressions and diagrams into LaTeX and Markdown code. The Service includes a drawing canvas, AI OCR recognition, a LaTeX editor, PDF compilation, and document export features.

03Pricing & Taxes (Purchasing Power Parity)

We offer location-based pricing to make CamteX accessible globally. The price displayed during checkout may differ from the base USD price depending on your country of residence as determined by your IP address at the time of purchase.

All prices shown on this website are exclusive of taxes. The final amount charged — including any applicable VAT, GST, Sales Tax, or other local taxes — is calculated and displayed on the Stripe Checkout screen before you confirm payment. By completing the purchase you agree to pay the final amount shown on that screen.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing tiers at any time. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until the next billing cycle, and you will be notified in advance.

04Refund Policy — Digital Goods (No-Refund Clause)

CamteX provides digital software services. In accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, you expressly acknowledge and agree that by activating your Pro subscription you request immediate access to the digital service and thereby waive your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the moment your subscription becomes active.

As a result, all subscription purchases are final and non-refundable once the service has been activated. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours of the charge and we will review your case on an individual basis.

This no-refund policy does not override any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your jurisdiction beyond the scope of EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

05Subscription Terms

CamteX Pro is offered as a recurring subscription on a monthly or annual basis.

• –Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price using the payment method on file, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• –Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; you retain access to Pro features until that date.
• –Scan limits: The Pro plan includes a monthly allowance of AI recognition scans as stated on the pricing page. Unused scans do not roll over to the next billing period.
• –Free plan: The Free plan includes a limited number of scans and is not subject to any charges.

06Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• –Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI recognition API beyond normal use.
• –Share your account credentials or subscription access with third parties.
• –Use the Service to generate, store, or distribute unlawful content.
• –Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing.

07Intellectual Property

All content you create using CamteX (LaTeX code, documents, exports) remains your property. We claim no ownership over your documents.

The CamteX application, branding, and underlying technology are owned by CamteX and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.

08Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the AI recognition will be error-free or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Use of AI-generated LaTeX output should be verified before submission in academic or professional contexts.

09Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CamteX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Poland.

Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence. EU consumers retain all rights afforded by EU consumer law regardless of the governing law clause above.

11Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice in the application at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
